Update: Twitter and TweetDeck suffer partial outage
Twitter recently went through a service outage on Wednesday, 2 October. As a result, thousands of users were reported to be unable to post, view messages or receive notifications. Although, Twitter itself didn’t reveal how many people suffered from it, an issue that was resolved by 8 a.m. EDT. The social media platform said the outage also affected TweetDeck.
Outage monitoring website received more than 4,000 reports of the incident all around then globe, including Japan, Canada and India.
“We’ve been experiencing outages across Twitter and TweetDeck,” Twitter Support said in a tweet.
“You might have had trouble tweeting, getting notifications or viewing [direct messages]. We’re currently working on a fix and should be back to normal soon.”
The issue was fixed after 7 a.m, and Twitter informed its user by tweeting, “The issue is just about fixed.”.
Though some people remain unaware of the issues, and certain types of media aren’t displaying, but users tweeted that they were having problem with their twitter.
The social media giant has also suffered similar outage in July, which lasted for about an hour due to what the company said was an “internal configuration change.”
