Amazon has just unveiled an avalanche of new products at its recent hardware unveiling. The list of new products includes new Echo speakers, including one with Dolby Atmos sound, as well as a pair of true wireless earbuds, glasses, and even a ring, all with Alexa onboard.

Echo Studio

Echo Studio is a high-powered smart speaker designed to complement the e-commerce giant’s fledgling high-resolution subscription audio service, Amazon Music HD.

The biggest trait of it is its ability to automatically tune its sound to the shape of the room in which it’s sitting. Using it, you can connect the Echo Studio to a 4K Fire TV device, perfect for watching videos encoded with Dolby Atmos sound. Moreover, you can also pair two Echo Studios together with an Echo sub.

You can pre-order it now at $199. The Echo Studio comes along with three mid-range speakers in the left and right. Top of its housing is equipped with a front-facing directional tweeter and a 5.25-inch bass driver. 

Amazon took a step forward towards higher-quality audio this time last year when it introduced the Echo Sub, a powered subwoofer designed to be paired with the 3rd-gen Echo Dot, 2nd-gen Echo, or 2nd-gen Echo Plus. The Echo studio is relatively cheap and seems to be an ideal choice for those who are more deeply invested in quality audio.

Echo Buds

Echo Buds is a pair of wireless earbuds that offer complete noise reduction – two balanced armature drives per earbud – and up to five hours of battery life.

For your kind information, Amazon isn’t the first company to put Alexa in your head. Before Amazon, Bose, Sony, and 66 Audio are other few manufacturers offering headphones with Alexa built-in. These Echo buds cost $ 130, hence undercutting most of its competitors, most notably Apple’s ANC-less AirPods. 

Echo Frames and smart ring

Amazon also publicized a pair of wearables that will be available upon invitation only. Who would mind a pair of glasses with an embedded microphone and directionals speakers hovering around his head? That too at reasonable prices. Echo Frames are only going to cost you mere $180!

It is designed to work with your phone, including a VIP filter to prioritizes any messages that arrive over your handset. 

Smart ring is another of the unveiled beauties by Amazon, at just $129. Having dual microphones and a haptic engine, it vibrates whenever you get alerts or notifications. 

Eero routers

Amazon announcements covered a broad range of items, not particularly restricted to Echo and Alexa devices. Another exciting announcement was of an all-new, dual-band Eero mesh router with TrueMesh technology. It has a price $99 price tag or $250 for a three-pack. The new Eero features tight Alexa integration, allows you to ask Alexa to pause the Wi-Fi, activate your guest Wi-Fi network. Further, it can also turn off the Wi-FI for a specific device.

Ring cameras and devices

To help you tighten security, Ring home security devices also got some new additions. These devices include a $60 Ring Indoor Cam and a new $100 battery-powered stick up camera, motion detectors, and night vision.

Moreover, Amazon also announced a new Ring privacy feature called Home Mode, which lets you set your Ring cameras to not record any audio/video when you’re home.

New Echo accessories and Alexa features

Another one of useful unveiled products $30 Echo Glow, a spherical smart lamp that pairs with Alexa and features a variety of lighting modes. It also includes a flickering campfire, a sleep timer, and can also be used for disco lights.

Echo Flex is a compact module that plugs into AC and contains a small speaker for Alexa. Moreover, it has a USB charging port that could host a variety of additional accessories that include a motion sensor and a nightlight. It is available now for pre-order, at $ 25, while it’s accessories will go for $15.

Amazon is quite keen to improve Alexa, as Amazon talked about its new neural text-to-speech technology. It is designed to make Alexa look more natural, and less like a Robot. Further, its multilingual mode makes it to speak different languages in the same household including French, Hindi, English.
