Keanu Reeves – who appeared in the movie ” The Matrix” has signed up to appear in an upcoming game called Cyberpunk 2077. He is supposed to play the character named Silverhand. What Is Cyberpunk 2077?

Cyberpunk is an upcoming game for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is developed by CD Projekt Red, they also developed The Witcher video games series. Cyberpunk 2077 is the continuation of RPG called Cyberpunk 2020, which is the publication of Talsorian Games in 1988. The Cyberpunk 2077 is set 57 years after Cyberpunk 2020

Cyberpunk Release Date

We still have almost a whole year left, before Cyberpunk is released. April 16, is the official release date of Cyberpunk and it is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.

In the official trailer of the game, it was stated that the game will be available when it is ready, and there was no official release date given. But now there is an official date of its release.

It was also believed that CDProjectRed was planning to release two new triple A RPGs, before the end of 2021. However, the company later clarified in forums that work on the second would not start before Cyberpunk 2077 was finished.

Characters In Cyberpunk

This is perhaps the most exciting part of Cyberpunk – the characters in it. Cyberpunk allows you to create your own characters and has NPCs (non-playing characters as well). We are mentioning a few of the most important ones below.

JOHNNY SILVERHAND

Reeves fans were absolutely over the moon when he appeared in the game’s trailer. Keanu Reeves will play the role of Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. In the game, Reeves plays the now-digital ghost implanted in your head. He holds a grudge against the Arasaka corporation and has more dialogue than another NPC.

RICHARD NIGHT

He is the man behind Cyberpunk’s major setting, Cornado City that was later renamed Night City in the honor of Richar Night. Richard left a construction firm ( he was a partner to plan Cornado city) in 1990 and secured corporate funding from Arasaka in exchange for handing over large slices of the city for their development. Night was later killed in his penthouse in 1998, after which the city was named Night city. And his killer is never caught!

SABURO ARASAKA

The character of Saburo Arasaka is evil who dominates much of Japan and the third world (a label now given to America). He is the head of Arasaka megacorporation and is quite determined to establish Japan as the new global superpower.

PLACIDE

Extremely immoral and a man of few words, Placide is the second-in-command of the Voodoo Boys gang.

BRIGITTE

During the E3 demo, we saw glimpses of Maman Brigitte. She is the leader of Voodoo Boy. Though we don’t see much of her, but she is the one who puts a halt to the scuffle between V and Placide in the trailer.

Where Will Cyberpunk Take Place?

The city where Cyberpunk is played actually doesn’t really exist. It a fictional city somewhere between San Francisco and LA, the city is called Night City. The city is full of punks and corporate stooges wandering in mob-ruled streets. By 2023, corporations begin to openly war for them. Cyberpunk’s story is based on what happens to the city, in the aftermath of that war.

 

Is Cyberpunk Multiplayer

Historically, CD Projekt Red have mostly focused on single-player experiences. So it was presumed that Cyberpunk too would be a single-player game. However, there have been speculations that the game might be multi-player, but nobody knows, what kind of multiplayer functionalities it may have. The game is still in the development process, and what features they include in the game and which one they may remove at the last moment, could only be seen once the game is launched. Until E3 2018, it was expected to be an entirely single-player experience but recent comments from the Quest Designer hint a change. Patrick Mills has indicated that they might add multi-player experience in the game.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Mill indicated that Cyberpunk will be launched as a single-player game, but the at CD Projekt Red are researching whether they can modify it into multiplayer component or not.
