Duet Display second screen app finally launches on Android
Duet Display is now available on Android phones and tablets. To work, you’ll have to install the free Duet Display Client on Mac or on Windows 10 PX. Connect your Android device over a wired/wireless connection.
Previously, the service has only been available for Apple devices, later the company was forced to change its focus after Apple brought its own second screen feature called Sidecar.
Android users can expect Duet Display’s performance to match iOS, but it won’t be exactly the same on day one.
For those who are unaware, Duet Display was launched for Apple users to connect their iPad to their Mac computer. When connected, you could use your tablet as a small external monitor, extending the display real estate for the laptop and opening the door for some unique usage scenarios, like accessing the desktop version of Photoshop on the iPad.
To get started, install the Duet Display App from the Play Store – it’s currently 50% off at $9.99. Having the Mac pr PC desktop companion app is also required. It is absolutely free and can be downloaded from online sources available.
Mac users must have Mac OS 10.14 or later version and Windows users will have to be on Windows 10. Connect your Android device to your computer via either a USB Type C cable or via wireless. And you’re done.
At the end of the introductory price period, Duet Display will cost $20. Go to Play Store to claim the special price and start using your Android Device as an extra screen.
